Singer and gay icon Kylie Minogue has revealed that she is having trouble finding a boyfriend.

The Australian also revealed that early 20th century star Tallulah Bankhead is her ideal lesbian partner.

In an interview with The Sun, Ms Minogue, 40, said:

“I’d go gay for her. She was a fascinating and exotic woman. There was so much to admire about her.

“She lived life to the full, maybe a little too fully. I want to release the inner Tallulah in me.

"God knows I can’t get a man — so maybe I should cross over."

Tallulah Bankhead, (1902 – 1968), was outspoken about her bisexuality and list of conquests. Her lovers included Joan Crawford, Marlene Dietrich and Billie Holliday.

Ms Minogue, who was awarded a OBE in 2007, recently overcame breast cancer and is now on tour.
